Jennifer S. Kennett, MA LMHC

Jennifer Kennett believes in magic.

The magic of resilience.
The magic of compassion.
The magic of transformation through collaborative counseling.

If it seems unusual to you that a therapist believes in magic, that’s probably because you haven’t met Jennifer Kennett … yet.

Whether you’re half of a couple whose relationship seems to have slipped sideways, a teen struggling to make sense of the world around you (or their frustrated parent), or an unfulfilled adult with more questions than answers, Jennifer understands first-hand the power of being seen, heard, and understood.

That knowledge is one of her gifts.

That, and decades of experience as a therapist. During that time, Jennifer has forged a reputation as a compassionate, caring, and collaborative counselor, helping clients just like you achieve the connections, growth, and change they crave.

A healer at heart, Jennifer’s upbringing exposed her to a wide range of people and experiences at an early age, laying the foundation for the work she does today. She realized at the tender age of 11 that she was destined to help others actualize her core belief — “You can do this thing!”.

Unlike therapists who work from a deficiency-based model (addressing what’s “wrong” or “missing” in your life), Jennifer’s clients benefit from her strengths-based model, building on the positives and the potential that may feel gone but is actually just “on a break.”

You can trust Jennifer to reconnect you with the inner resilience you may think you’ve lost – and which you absolutely can rediscover and reclaim.

Jenifer Kennett invites you to consider what a new approach to therapy could add to your life. When you’re ready, she will compassionately create space for the new possibilities you crave.

The fine print:

A healer’s heart and plenty of smarts are only part of the “how to create an effective therapist” formula. Jennifer’s natural abilities have been honed with years of field training, which is supported by the following educational and professional cornerstones:

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology
  • Licensing as a Mental Health Counselor in the State of Washington
  • Level 3 training in Gottman Couples Therapy Method
  • Specific mediation training provided through the Dispute Resolution Center of King County

And because it’s important to Jennifer that every aspect of your work with her run smoothly, she also supports the streamlined operation of her practice with a Master of Business Administration degree.
